This accelerated planting of forests is certainly controversial. Do these trees last as long? Is this accelerated growth sustainable enough in the long term?
On my way I met James Gaudrrey-Fausset who leads the Rewilding movement in the UK. He plants food forests in the city and also works for Sugi . That is an organization led by a Belgian lady. They are planting new forests all over the world using this method. There are also a few examples in Wallonia. I’d say take advantage of it. But as I said many experts find this a controversial method.
