he food forest is created through collaboration between initiator Bas Korten, the municipality of Nederweert and volunteers from the village. The start is with 56 edible types of plants. Ultimately, about 150 trees and more than 200 tree formers and shrubs together form the food forest, which is maintained by, among others, the primary school, Jong Nederland and a number of volunteers. The food forest remains freely accessible, so that everyone can stay here and enjoy the food-bearing plants and fauna.
