The EcoVredeGaard is a multifunctional food forest consisting of a traditional orchard, a pool (with heat area) and a project and experiment area. The food forest will consist of various edible plants, shrubs and trees. These have been planted in such a way that they make optimal use of the sun, water and each other’s properties. The traditional orchard reinforces the original character of ‘De Park’ (a castle area with orchards). The heat area pool will be a place for edible aquatic plants and plants that thrive in a warm climate. The project and experiment area will be used as a space for own initiatives, scientific and educational activities.
