At the end of 2018, body coach, children’s yoga instructor and industrial engineer Paul Vrenken bought a piece of woodland of 50 by 150 meters in Walik, near Riethoven. A year later, with the help of the food forest gnomes, various types of fruit and nut trees were planted. Anyone who visits the piece of forest will also notice that Paul has placed nameplates and a walking path near the new trees. In addition, Paul also set up a large trampoline, a playhouse, a sandbox and a tree house. He also wants to build a sensory path and other toys to turn it into a real food forest with nature education in mind.
