This food forest was created in memory of René Muris’s wife. She passed away in August 2019. Less than a week later, René posted a call in which he went looking for people who wanted to help him turn his piece of forest into a food forest. It was the Food Forest Gnomes who responded to this call. The first planting day took place in the same year, on November 10, 2019, with the help of 20 people.
