Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we greened the public space of Rotterdam and the surrounding area in a sustainable way and that the landscaped greenery is also edible, requires little maintenance and can last for generations to come?
The volunteer working group Food Forest Kralingen was created from this idea. About 18 volunteers are currently working on realizing and making the Food Forest (800m2) known. The Food Forest was created on 15 December 2013 in the Nieuwe Plantage park, in the Kralingen district (the park is located between the Oudedijk and Weteringstraat at the Jericholaan). The forest was officially opened on May 18, 2014.
