A forest garden was created in April 2014 at Landvreugd Farm, one of the project locations of the Schiedam Food Bank Gardening Foundation. After a few months of designing and choosing the right assortment, the strip of soil is planted.

In the autumn of 2013, part of the heavily cultivated grass soil was covered with cardboard in preparation. Two months after installation, there is a slight pressure from re-growing grass.

The garden is intended both for the production of edible crops and for demonstration. The initiators are Holger Breek, Jeroen Hooijmeijer, Li An Phoa and Huib Sneep.
