Ketelbroek food forest
In 2009, Wouter van Eck and Pieter Jansen bought a bare corn field near Groesbeek and started planting the Ketelbroek food forest there. This food forest has since grown into the Netherlands’ most famous food forest. The varieties that are there are almost innumerable, about 400 in total, most of which are edible. The Ketelbroek food forest is now also a place with extremely high biodiversity, badgers, weasels and fireflies have even been spotted.
