Start new Smuljungle course in Tildonk/Haacht on May 16.

If you have long dreamed of your own “edible yummy garden” then now is the time. On Tuesday evening, May 16, we will start a new 8 part course. Ideal if you want to make work of having your own edible yummy garden where, in addition to perennials, a unique way of growing food in kitchen garden boxes on sandy soil is covered.

Trees De Bruyne is a circular ambassador, garden designer and forest pool guide whose unique approach won her the Edible Cities Innovative Local Hero award with the Smuljungle project in Aalst.

First and foremost, a “food forest” or edible tasty garden provides a greater connection to nature and is a boon to biodiversity. If we all do our part we will only make nature happy. The fact that we can also provide some of our own food is nice.
