In 2017, Ruud & Merel (the managers of Den Food Bosch) bought a house in Heeswijk-Dinther with a piece of meadow of 5000 m². The couple was already working on small-scale permaculture, so they saw their chance to take it a little bigger and turn that patch of pasture into a food forest. In 2018, the duo started with the first planting of fruit trees and small fruit. A year later, the construction of a 6×4 meter greenhouse and the design and development of a productive food forest system followed, which they fully planted in the autumn of 2019.
